How much do these webinars Cost?
When you purchase a Start-Up Webinar you pay $155 NZD (+GST for NZ customers). But included in that price is 12 months access to the associated ONLiNE Course which is $99 NZD (+GST for NZ customers).
So, your actually 4 hours of top quality PD from the writers of the course is only $56 NZD!
How often are these Start-Up Webinars offered?
Regularly. That way we can keep them small (usually less that 10 attendees).
Usually Weeks 2 and 7 (NZ Terms) are our scheduled Webinar Weeks during the term and we also offer a round during the first week of the holidays.
Our standard time 12noon-4pm NZ time so that teachers from other time zones can attend.
BUT if that isn't going to work for you, then PLEASE contact us and we will customise a special event for YOUR school. We can even run 2 x 2hour workshops After school. We do prefer a minimum of 3 attending.

This course is designed for those readers who have hit the decoding hump at a reading age of around 7-8yrs, and thereafter get further and further behind. This program helps them over that hump and rebuilds their confidence and excitement about reading.

Once the Stage 3 foundation is in place, increasingly complex layers of comprehension strategies can be added to develop critical thinking WHILE reading.
In the webinar we will cover:
1. A quick review of Stage 3 (if required)
2. Stage 4 theory and practice
We add four of the most important comprehension strategies to our '5 Step' reading routine to provide explicit tools for deeper and more flexible constructing of meaning and comprehension problem-solving WHILE reading.
3. Stage 5 theory and Practice
We add ‘big picture’ text structures to the routine to get the students analysing and summarising text WHILE they are reading - developing 'Big Picture' thinking.

Beginner readers need a clear routine that allows them to recognise and habituate the use of all of those phonic strategies they have been learning. This dovetails perfectly into Structured Literacy and the use of decodable text.
This workshop will get you using our '5 Bits' routine with readers at PM Level 1 through to PM Level 20 and cover the following:
