UNIT 5: "Finger on the first word...GO?"
In this unit we focus on Bit 2 of the Routine where students choral read the page of text.
The teacher role is to carefully monitor the reading and ensure that the reader stays in the 'Hard Fun' zone.
That includes providing the appropriate support when sudents get stuck and knowing how to respond to student miscues and errors without lapsing into 'teachable moments'.
