SPREYDON SCHOOL, Christchurch, New Zealand
Spreydon School began its SharpReading journey in 2014 by sending a few teachers to a workshop to find out why SharpReading was having such a positive effect on reading programs.
In 2017, with the full support of the school Board, Spreydon school completed all the requirements of Whole School Accreditation thanks to the conviction of Rick Wardrop (past principal) and Andrea Stuart (present principal).
All teachers are accredited as being fluent in at least one of SharpReading's stages and all classrooms regularly teach using the SharpReading approach. This work is monitored and supported by the in-school trainers Andrea Barr and Janine Greer, experienced and dedicated SharpReading trainers who have also assisted us with In-School training in SharpReading schools in Queensland. Well done Spreydon.
